Are you making Bulgogi or Kalbi? It looks like Bulgogi.

It looks like bulgogi. Hey, I just found a website with great Korean recipes. www.koreankitchen.com. I just had to share it with someone.

Ah, now if only I could find decent kimchi in this country....

Buy kimchi from China? Korean restaurants in Korea buy their kimchi from China. It's cheaper than buying locally.

Yeah, I'd heard that some of the kimchi in Korea came from China. There was some kind of issue over parasite eggs being found in some of it (though to be fair, the Korean-made kimchi wasn't exempt from this.) Still, I thought that the Koreans were really picky about the kimchi, to the point where a woman isn't considered a grownup until she can make proper kimchi....

At any rate, Japanese kimchi is awful. I love Japanese food, but these people don't know the first thing about spicy.
